Zoom® Teeth Whitening

Fast Treatment, Beautiful Results!

Over time, you may start to notice that your teeth are not as white as before. The enamel, or outermost layer of a tooth, wears down over time due to chewing. This exposes the yellow-colored dentin layer underneath and is the main cause for teeth appearing yellow.

Full Smile Dental offers a remarkably quick and easy solution to discolored teeth with Zoom teeth whitening. For a whiter smile and treatment for stained or discolored teeth, contact us to schedule your Zoom whitening treatment in Dumas, Canyon, Amarillo, Farwell, and Dalhart, TX.

What Is Zoom Teeth Whitening?

Zoom is a bleaching process used to correct discoloration of tooth enamel and restore your smile's overall brightness. If you experience yellow or dull looking teeth, stains, or tooth discoloration, Zoom may be the right teeth whitening procedure for you!

Teeth can become discolored from eating or drinking certain food or drinks and tobacco use. Tooth discoloration is also a natural part of the aging process as the enamel on teeth wear down over time. Zoom treats these issues by using a hydrogen peroxide solution and oxygen to enter the enamel and bleach the stained teeth. The tooth structure is left unchanged, and the lips and gums are not affected.

How Long Does Zoom Teeth Whitening Last?

Results from Zoom dental treatment will last for 1–2 years. You can maximize the longevity of your whitened teeth by avoiding food and drinks that stain teeth and avoiding the use of tobacco products.

Zoom Teeth Whitening Process

When you visit Full Smile Dental, we will outline your options for obtaining whiter teeth and walk you through the steps of each treatment. Zoom is an excellent cosmetic treatment for patients ages 13 and over, and we offer both in-office and at-home whitening for your convenience.

In-Office Teeth Whitening

Having your teeth professionally whitened in our office involves the use of higher grade whitening gel compared to at-home kits. However, you should only undergo in-office whitening once per year at most. Treatment will take between 45 minutes and one hour to complete.

Your dentist will clean and polish your teeth and place a retractor in your mouth to hold back the lips. We will apply the hydrogen peroxide whitening gel and use a Zoom light to penetrate the teeth and target stains. The gel will remain on your teeth for 15 minutes under the light and we repeat this process several times, depending on the desired shade you would like to achieve.

At-Home Teeth Whitening

Many patients undergo in-office whitening and then choose at-home kits to maintain the results of the initial whitening procedure. At-home kits include custom-fitted whitening trays that you will fill with a special gel and wear for a designated amount of time and bleach syringes for touch-ups.

The whitening gel for at-home kits is not as powerful as the ones available in our office, but will still yield amazing results when used as directed. In most cases, you will be instructed to wear your trays for 30 minutes. Many patients find it convenient to whiten their teeth at home. This is a great option to consider if you would like to touch up your smile's radiance between in-office treatments.

What Can I Eat After Zoom Whitening?

Your dentist may advise you to avoid tobacco products and to avoid or consume in moderation certain food and beverages, such as tea, coffee, red wine, and other acidic substances that can easily stain teeth. Be sure to brush and floss regularly. Keeping your teeth clean and practicing good oral hygiene is an effective way to prevent stains and ensure optimal results from your whitening treatment.
