Dental Crowns

A dental crown restores the function and appearance of one or more teeth. You may need a crown if you have a tooth that is cracked, chipped, discolored, or misshapen. A crown can be made of materials such as composite resin, zirconia, gold or metal alloys, or a combination of materials. You decide how you would like your crown to look, and our experts will create a crown just for you.

Dental crowns are ideal for treating large cavities by protecting the tooth and restoring its ability to function properly. Crowns are also the final step of root canal treatment, placed over the tooth to protect it, and dental implant treatment, serving as your final new tooth. We will instruct you on how to care for your crown after it is placed to maximize its strength and longevity.

Dental Cleanings

Regular dental cleanings are crucial for maintaining good oral health. You should see a dentist for a cleaning every 6 months. At these visits, a specialist will remove plaque and tartar buildup from the surfaces of your teeth. Even by brushing regularly, bacteria can build up and problems can exist without you knowing about them. The earlier oral health issues like gum disease, oral cancer, or infections are caught, the better the chance of successful treatment.

Some patients postpone going to the dentist for fear of requiring a costly procedure or experiencing pain. We offer many options to make necessary dental care affordable for you and your loved ones, and we offer many anesthesia and sedation options to choose from. Our staff will work with you hand-in-hand to make sure you feel comfortable and confident at every step.

Invisalign®

Invisalign retainers straighten teeth and correct a number of dental issues, such as gap teeth, crooked teeth, or misshapen teeth. There are no brackets or wires necessary. We will take 3D scans of your teeth and provide you with custom, clear retainers every few weeks to wear at all times except when eating or brushing. Because the aligners are clear, most people won’t be able to tell you’re wearing them.

Over time, the retainers will shift your teeth into the desired positions. You can expect to see results from Invisalign treatment in as fast as 6 months. These retainers are suitable for teenagers and adults and will produce a beautifully straighter smile you can wear with pride.

Icon® Dental Treatment

Icon dental treatment is an effective way to treat white spots and lesions on your teeth. Teeth may develop white spots after orthodontic treatment or as a result of poor oral hygiene, plaque, and bacteria buildup. Hypocalcified lesions caused by an uneven distribution of minerals in a tooth can lead to uneven coloration.

Icon is a minimally invasive way to restore the appearance of white spots on teeth. We will etch the tooth to ensure the resin will stick, then apply the special Icon resin to the tooth’s surface, allowing it to soak in. After treatment, your tooth or teeth will have a more even color, and your smile will become brighter and more even.

Root Canal Treatment

The pulp is located inside of each tooth, under the outer layer of enamel and hard layer of dentin. This pulp can become infected or inflamed when bacteria gets through the enamel and dentin. There are nerves and blood vessels within this pulp. If an infection is not treated, it can result in an abscess. The infection can spread to the nerves within the dental pulp, resulting in a great amount of pain.

When we perform root canal treatment, we will clean and remove the infected pulp, shape the root canal, and insert a filling. We will place a crown on top of the tooth to provide additional protection and support following this procedure. A root canal can save your natural tooth and prevent more serious damage from occurring.

Dental Sealants

Molars naturally have uneven grooves on the chewing surfaces. These grooves can become magnets for food and bacteria, increasing the risk of cavities. Dental sealants are a resin applied to these grooves to even out the tooth’s chewing surface and prevent bacteria from becoming trapped within the grooves. Sealants can last up to 9 years after placement.

At dental checkups, your dental examiner will determine if you need new sealants or touch ups to existing ones. Applying a dental sealant is quick and easy and involves applying a special gel to the molars, then drying it using a blue light. You will be able to eat the foods you like and maintain proper oral hygiene with the added protection of dental sealants protecting your molars.

Porcelain Veneers

If you would like to restore one or more teeth, veneers are an excellent treatment to consider. A veneer is a thin shell cemented to the front of a tooth. You can receive veneers anywhere in the mouth for a completely rejuvenated smile. Veneers can be made out of porcelain or composite resin.

Our office in Canyon, Texas, uses porcelain veneers, which yield the most natural-looking results and are much more durable than composite resin veneers. You will need to replace composite veneers every 5–7 years, while porcelain veneers will last for about a decade. Veneers are also great for treating damage such as cracks or chips, gap teeth, or misshapen teeth.

Zoom® Teeth Whitening

Teeth can become stained over time, especially if you regularly consume acidic things like tea, coffee, or alcohol, or use tobacco. Zoom teeth whitening is a popular treatment because it works rapidly to deliver stunning results. You can choose to receive professional teeth whitening treatment in our office or receive kits to use at home.

In-office whitening takes about 1 hour and uses a higher grade formula, whereas at-home kits provide you the freedom to whiten on your own time with a lower grade formula. We will guide you on how to wear, clean, and use your at-home whitening kit. Whether you choose to whiten your teeth in our office or at home, you will love the beautiful results!
