Dental Crowns

If you have a damaged tooth or one that you would like to improve the look of, a crown is an excellent treatment that restores both appearance and function. A crown is a cap that covers an entire tooth. We can make it from a variety of materials depending on how you would like it to look, such as porcelain, gold, composite resin, zirconia, or a combination of materials.

Dental crowns are great for treating large cavities, severely worn down teeth, or teeth that have cracked or broken. We may place a crown following a root canal to protect the tooth while it heals. A crown is also the final piece of a dental implant, providing a custom-made tooth that attaches to the abutment and dental implant post for long-term tooth restoration.

Dental Cleanings

It’s important to see a dentist for a professional teeth cleaning every 6 months. Even if you brush and floss regularly, there can be plaque and tartar on your teeth you may not be able to see. A dental professional gets rid of this buildup and checks for other oral health issues you may not be aware of. When oral health problems are caught early, like gingivitis, oral cancer, or oral disease, we can expect a better outcome and treat the issue promptly.

At Full Smile Dental, your comfort is our top priority. Our dentists and staff walk you through every step of the process, and we offer both anesthesia and sedation options to ensure your regular cleanings, checkups, and any other type of treatment is as comfortable as possible.

Invisalign®

Invisalign straightens teeth without the need for traditional braces, brackets, or wires. Invisalign is great for teens and adults looking for a straighter and overall more confident smile. We will take 3D scans of your teeth and create custom clear retainers for you to wear. You should wear your aligners at all times except to eat and brush your teeth. Every couple of weeks, we will send you a new set of retainers and over time, they will gradually shift your teeth into the desired position.

If you have crowded teeth, bite problems, gap teeth, issues with baby or permanent teeth, or would like a generally straighter smile, Invisalign in Dumas, TX, can help. At your first appointment, we will evaluate the alignment of your teeth, your bite, and help determine if Invisalign is right for you.

Icon® Dental Treatmnet

Icon is a quick and minimally invasive way to treat white spot lesions and hypocalcified enamel lesions on teeth. After orthodontic treatment, some teeth may become stained with white spots. This can also be caused by poor oral hygiene and a buildup of plaque and bacteria. Hypocalcified lesions, or bruising of the enamel, are mostly caused by trauma or infection. Icon dental treatment corrects white spots and enamel bruising by using a special resin to soak into the tooth, correcting its color.

With Icon treatment, your teeth will have significantly more even color and you will feel more confident about your smile. This treatment is suitable for both children and adults and only takes about one hour to complete. Results from your Icon dental treatment can last anywhere from 2 to 6 years.

Root Canal Treatment

Inside of each tooth, under the enamel and hard dentin layer, there is a soft tissue called the pulp. The pulp contains nerves and blood cells and is important during a tooth’s development. If the pulp becomes inflamed or infected, a root canal aims to remove the decay and save the tooth. These issues can be a result of deep decay or a crack or chip in the tooth. During root canal treatment, we will clean the infected pulp, shape the inside of the root canal, and fill and seal the space. We will place a crown on top to protect it, restoring its function and protecting the tooth. If infected dental pulp is left untreated, it can lead to tooth decay. At Full Smile Dental, we offer many anesthesia options so that you can remain comfortable during root canal treatment.

Dental Sealants

The molars in the back of your mouth are rough and uneven. Even if you brush and floss regularly, there may still be plaque and bacteria within the crevices of these large teeth. If your teeth have large grooves, we can use dental sealants to form a protective coating on the chewing surface of the tooth. This helps prevent cavities and tooth decay, but you should still practice good oral hygiene to keep them clean.

The sealant application process is easy and noninvasive. Once the gel has dried on the tooth, you will be able to use your teeth normally with the added protection against cavities and bacteria buildup. Dental sealants are great for patients of all ages. It only takes a few minutes to apply the sealant and an additional few minutes to let it dry, making the sealant application process fast and efficient.

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are thin shells cemented to the front of your teeth to restore their appearance. You may want veneers to create more uniformity throughout your smile, improve the appearance of a single tooth, or treat issues such as chipped, gap, or misshapen teeth. Many patients receive veneers on the front teeth, but you can receive them for any teeth that you would like improved upon.

A veneer can be made from either porcelain or composite resin. At Full Smile Dental, we use advanced and longer-lasting porcelain to create our veneers. Porcelain veneers naturally have a more tooth-colored appearance compared to composite veneers. Porcelain veneers are much more durable and can last for 10 years, while composite veneers can last between 5 and 7 years.

Zoom® Teeth Whitening

Over time, the enamel of your teeth will wear down. This can lead to the enamel becoming more transparent, exposing the yellow-colored dentin underneath. Zoom teeth whitening aims to improve the radiance of your smile with rapid results while delivering enamel protection. Professional teeth whitening with Zoom is quick and easy. When you choose to come into our office for teeth whitening, we will use stronger ingredients over about an hour-long process.

Alternatively, you can choose to receive at-home kits to whiten your teeth on your own schedule. At-home kits are not as strong as in-office ingredients but still provide beautiful results when used as directed by a dental expert. Our office will provide you with instructions on how long to wear the retainers with the special gel. You will love the beautiful results of Zoom teeth whitening, both in our office and in your home!
